Directions
Smith Street is located in the heart of historic Warwick and if travelling by car has on street parking as well as a car park right beside it, off Priory Road. Smith Street can be reached from many directions and is on the route between Warwick and Royal Leamington Spa.
Pedestrians:
From the Castle: Exit the Town Exit / Entrance gate and walk straight on up Castle Street heading towards St. Mary's Church. At the junction with the Tourist Information Centre on the right hand corner, turn right. At the traffic lights turn left over the pedestrian crossing and then turn right to go over the next set where you will reach Eastgate. Smith Street is under arches, with Castle Trains located half way down on the right.
From the Tourist Information Centre: Turn right when exiting the building down Jury Street. At the traffic lights turn left over the pedestrian crossing and then turn right to go over the next set where you will reach Eastgate. Smith Street is under arches, with Castle Trains located half way down on the right.
From the Train Station: At the bottom of the road from the station turn right. Turn right at the traffic lights and Smith Street is the middle road ahead of you, with Castle Trains located half way up the road on the left.
From Priory Road Car Park: Enter the street from the rear of the Cellar Restaurant and Ink Express this path is called the Knibbs.
By Car:
From Stratford or the M40 Motorway: At M40 junction 15 get on the A429 to Warwick past Westgate and the Lord Leycester Hospital on the left into High Street and then Jury Street. Proceed straight on at the lights around the Eatgate building for on street parking. For Priory Road car park, turn right and double back on yourself at the roundabout and proceed straight on at the traffic lights up the Butts. Take the first right into Priory Road and the car park is signposted 200 metres down on the right hand side. From here head through "The Cellar" to reach Smith Street, Castle Trains is across the road.
From the A46: Head for the town centre and once past Sainsbury's on the left hand side, turn left at the roundabout up the hill. Turn left into Priory Road for off road car parking and the car park is signposted 200 metres down on the right hand side. From here head through "The Cellar" to reach Smith Street, Castle Trains is across the road. For on street parking continue bearing round to the right of the Punchbowl Inn and turn left at the trafffic lights into Smith Street.
From Leamington: Head towards Warwick Town Centre from either Myton Road or Emscote Road. At the Castle Hill roundabout go uphill and into the right hand filter lane into Smith Street. For off road parking, get into the middle filter lane instad, head straight on up the Butts and turn right in to Priory Road and the car park is signposted 200 metres down on the right hand side.
By Train:
Trains are available to Birmingham, Stratford-upon-Avon, London (Paddington and Marylebone) and intermediate stations. Use Royal Leamington Spa for connections to Banbury, Coventry, Oxford and intermediate stations. Please see pedestrian routes for directions from the station to Castle Trains. Please note Warwick Parkway Station is situated 1.5 miles from the town centre, so unless you fancy a long walk please only use Warwick station!
